De Randamie
Kedzie
The UFC is being aggressive in their campaign to build their new women’s bantamweight division, as they set another match-up for July.
Veteran fighter Julie Kedzie (16-11) will take on Muay Thai champion Germaine de Randamie (3-2) at “UFC on Fox 8″ in Seattle, WA. The ,match was announced Wednesday.
Kedzie lost her last two matches to two of the top six in the division, Miesha Tate and Alexis Davis, and is looking to get back on the winning track. She would be submitted by Tate in her last fight in August at Strikeforce; while taking Davis the distance.
De Randamie is once again dropping to 135 after getting a win over ranked featherweight Hiroko Yamanaka this past August. She lost to current InvictaFC 145 title contender Julia Budd in June. She has found better success at 135, going 2-1.
The match will most likely be relegated to the preliminary card, which will be broadcast on FX.
