Cage Warriors to Stream Fights on MMAJunkie

Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

This week, British Promotion Cage Warriors announced all 16 of their 2012 cards will be streamed on MMAJunkie.com in the U.S.

This means that all the matches in the upcoming Women’s 125 Tournament will be available for viewing. The first match is set with #3 Unified ranked Rosi Sexton taking on #7 ranked Aisling Daly.

Sheila Gaff will be facing another yet-to-be-named opponent in the other semi-final.

The undercard bouts for the events will be on Cage Warrior’s Facebook page. This could serve as an opportunity for amateur female European fighters to get much needed in-cage experience.

MMA Junkie is set to also start it’s MMA news show on Spike TV Feb. 23.

Sexton vs. Daly is set for the April 15 card, and will serve as the first female match under the new partnership.
