“Female Fighting: The Time is Now” Official Artemis Film Festival Selection

The Artemis Film Festival sent out their official selection notices for their third annual festival, and “Female Fighting: The Time is Now” is honored to be a part of that list. This has been the second time Wombat Sports’s news editor MarQ Piocos had a documentary in the festival. Last year, his documentary “Neung Roy” opened the festival.

The documentary will be available on Amazon in the coming month.

“Female Fighting: The Time is Now” takes a look at the growing popularity for women in Mixed Martial Arts from the prospective of fighters and historians alike.

The 37 minute documentary features MMA legend Julie Kedzie, UFC star Liz Carmouche, InvictaFC fighter Sarah Maloy, Syndicate MMA’s Amanda Lucas, and a lot of younger fighters that have since retired or awaiting their return.

The festival will happen April 20-23, 2017 in Los Angeles. We await on where and when the documentary will be shown during that time and where t get tickets. We will have updates in the coming weeks.
