Herculis Monaco Preview!
posted on July 22, 2010 at 8:37am

The next stop for the IAAF Diamond League tour is in Herculis, Monaco, today. The new Diamond League has made 2010 a very exciting year for track and field, as the fans can look forward to a series of events attracting the best athletes from all events, not just a select few.

Here are the start lists for today's meet.

You can watch the meet live starting at 1pm Eastern at UniversalSports.com. You'll need to purchase either the entire Diamond League package for $19.99 or buy just the Monaco meet today for $1.99. Cheap as dirt and worth it!

The other option is to watch it later on the Universal Sports TV channel, if your cable provider carries it.

You can also follow me on Twitter at @anngaff, as I will be tweeting my take on the events I'm able to watch. Another great person to follow is IAAF journalist @flashesofpanic.

I am most excited for:

Men's & Women's 100m Hurdles - David Oliver and Lolo Jones, enough said!

Women's Javelin - Kara Patterson, Rachel Yurkovich, WR holder Barbora Spotakova

Women's 800m - Alysia Johnson, Anna Pierce, Phoebe Wright, Maggie Vessey

Men's Long Jump - Dwight Philips, Irving Saladino, Fabrice LaPierre

Women's 100m - Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Carmelita Jeter

Men's 200m - Tyson Gay, Wallace Spearmon and maybe Walter Dix? The full start list linked above lists Dix but the individual Startlist/Results link on the site does not.

Women's 3,000m

Results will be (hopefully live) here.
