“No arms! No legs! No problem!” is the motto of Nick Vujicic.  He was born in Australia with literally no arms and no legs, just a tiny partial stump of a foot, or his “chicken drumstick” as he likes to call it.  I only wish that back when I was going through some of my first injuries in high school (broken shin & torn ACL) all very familiar things to the female athlete, that I could have seen his videos then.  It would have knocked out any kind of room for self pity and had me spending every waking hour in the gym getting back into action fast.

I would say at least 70% of competitive female athletes at some point in their career have a major injury or surgery that leaves them feeling worthless, worried, and with many questions in their head.  And of course the most successful athletes find ways to overcome these injuries as long as there is a way and their body permits it to get back into action.  Yet I believe even the most inspirational and motivated athletes coming back from injury or even just competing without anything wrong with them can be truly inspired by the life of Nick Vujicic.

Vujicic grew up in a family with perfectly healthy parents and 2 full bodied siblings.  As you can imagine he had many questions growing up and even times of total despair (tried to commit suicide when he was 8).  In the end he found a passion to succeed in life and now travels the world giving inspirational speeches along with playing some sports on the side.  Prepare to be inspired as you watch some of his videos below, he is a truly amazing individual!
