Amanda Nunes’s camp announced she has sustained an arm injury and will be out of her fight with Kaitlin Young at InvictaFC 5 April 5. In her stead, the undefeated Lauren Taylor will step up in competition.
Taylor (5-0) is coming off a dominate first round win over Jennifer Scott in Taylor’s debut at bantamweight a few weeks ago. She dropped from 145 for the fight, and has yet to see the third round. A win would be a great argument for her to be ranked in the top 10.
Young (7-7) is looking to get a winning record after falling to #10 Unified ranked Leslie Smith and #6 ranked Liz Carmouche.
InictaFC 5 will take place at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO. It will stream for $10 at Ustream.com April 5.
