Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. It was a battle of the staredowns and goofballs as the fighters hit the scales for Friday night for Saturday’s InvictaFC card.
All the fighters made weight, with Veronica Rothenhausler (146.6) the only one not making it on her first try. She would reweigh at 146 to be cleared to fight; but had 10% of her purse deducted.
Some of the more interesting highlights included the cold hard staredown by Rose Namajunas to Emily Kagan; Amanda Nunes and Sarah D’Alelio doing their best Junior Dos Santos & Cain Velasquez impression, and an instant zombie-fied Shayna Baszler.
