WPSL Playoffs Update

Three teams will earn berths in the WPSL Final Four this weekend. The East Conference Final, Pacific Conference Final and Midwest/Sunshine Playoff will all be determined. The Big Sky Conference champion will be determined Thursday of this coming week.

 

East Conference Final

Long Island Fury 1, Boston Aztec 2 (The Aztec’s winning goal came in the 119′ from Chioma Igwe. Interestingly, The Aztec had won their previous playoff game in the 119′ as well.)

 

Midwest/Sunshine Playoff

FSA Freedom 1, FC Milwaukee Nationals 3

 

Pacific Conference Semifinal #1

LAFC Chelsea 1, California Storm 3 (LAFC Chelsea conceded three goals in the opening 30 minutes. Brandi Chastain scored the opener while Fiona O’Sullivan had a brace) 

 

Pacific Conference Semifinal #2

North Bay FC Wave 0, Ajax America Women 2 (Ajax could be headed to their fifth straight Final Four with goals from Carmen Bognanno and Chloe Byrne)

The Pacific Conference Final will be held tonight and will feature long-standing rivals the California Storm and Ajax America Women.

Big Sky Conference Final

Thursday, July  – Phoenix del Sol, Oklahoma Alliance FC

 

Final Four

Saturday July 31 – The FC Milwaukee Nationals will face the Boston Aztec while the winner of the Big Sky Conference will meet the winner of the Pacific Conference. UT-Dallas will host the event.

Sunday August 1 – The semifinal losers will play to determine third and fourth place while the winners will play in the WPSL Final at 1:00 pm.
