Sunday afternoon, MarQ Piocos and l hosted the inaugural Women Talk Sports weekly radio show.
Our special guest was Deedee Corradini, president of Women's Ski Jumping USA. Corradini has led an 8-year campaign to get women's ski jumping added to the Olympic program. Next week (October 24-26), the International Olympic Committee will meet to decide on the events and disciplines to include in the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia. We'll talk to Corradini about why the women should be included and what it will mean for the athletes now and in the future. For more about Corradini, check out her bio below.

More about Deedee Corradini:
Deedee Corradini, president of Women’s Ski Jumping USA since 2004 and former mayor of Salt Lake City. She is also an officer for the International Women’s Forum and a Distinguished Senior Fellow in Urban Studies at The Richard W. Riley Institute of Government, Politics and Public Leadership at Furman University.
As mayor, Corradini was instrumental in bringing the 2002 Winter Olympic Games to Salt Lake City, and spent her eight years in office preparing the city to host the games.
Corradini holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Utah. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, grew up in Lebanon and Syria for 11 years, and then lived on the east coast. Following service on the staffs of two Congressmen in Washington, D.C., she returned to Utah to raise her family.
As President of WSJ USA, she continues her campaign to get women ski jumpers into the Olympic Winter Games.
She lives in Park City with her husband.
