In keeping with SB Nation’s innovative use of social media in reshaping sports journalism, our vision is a women's basketball site that goes beyond merely providing game reports; instead, we want to capture the narratives that fuel our passion for the game, while maintaining the critical stance that helps us understand the game better.

Today, the Washington Mystics signed Avery Warley and Ashley Corral to the roster. Warley is a center from Liberty University where she played on the Phoenix Mercury for 28 games in 2012 before being waived in the closing parts of the season. Warley averaged 3 points and nearly 6 rebounds a game. Ashley Corral is from Southern Cal, where she was on the Seattle Storm's training camp roster.

Though it wasn't said in that piece, my belief is that they are on training camp contracts, since Corral didn't even play last year. Warley however may have a better chance to make the team depending on other moves the Mystics make.
