I am a fan of the NY Liberty because I remember when Teresa Weatherspoon hit that half court shot at the buzzer in Game 2 of the 1999 finals series. Everyone was counting out the Liberty. No one believed that the Liberty had a chance against the Comets. Teresa Weatherspoon had the heart of a champion, and is embodiment of the NY Liberty basketball. Although they did not win the serious, she set the tone for the franchise and that is why I am and will always be a fan of the NY Liberty.
