Lake Tahoe's All-Women Sport Camp is set to host 3 days of multiple sport activities including cross country, mountain biking, downhill mountain biking, road cycling, triathlon and running for active women of all levels, primarily beginner to high intermediate.
Lead by world-class professional women athletes and top industry instructors, ladies can choose from over 22 informational and skills clinics, group bike rides and group runs that will access a variety of Lake Tahoe's beautiful paths and trail system. Other activities include yoga, rock climbing and stand-up paddle boarding on Lake Tahoe.Our camp is a full blow active weekend of sports education and outdoor fitness where women can show up in the comfort of their favorite sport, or use this as an opportunity to learn a new sport, says Event Director, Inger Norman.
The camp will run August 10-12, 2012, hosted at Northstar California and lead by an impressive roster of women athletes, including Marla Streb - the most recognized woman in mountain biking; Jessi Stensland - Professional Triathlete and Movement Specialist; and Julie Young - Former USA Cycling Team member. With some of the strongest women names in endurance sports, the camp also includes world-class coaches and instructors that train professional teams and athletes. Camp participants can sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 days and will have the opportunity to demo bikes from Specialized women's brand and win prizes from sponsors such as Camelbak, Oakley, and Luna Bar.
Proceeds of Lake Tahoe's All-Women Sport Camp will benefit Women For Women International - an organization committed to helping women survivors of war rebuilt their lives.
