Day 5 Recap - U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials

D'Agostino is a runner from Dartmouth College. She hails from Topsfield, Massachusetts. As a high school runner she set her school record in the mile and won the MSTCA Bay State Championship as a junior.

She went on to attend Darthmouth. She was injured during her freshman cross country season but competed in track and field. During her freshman track season, she finished third at the NCAA championships in the 5k, setting Ivy and Dartmouth records (15:40.69).

In 2011, she was able to compete in her first cross country season. She placed third at NCAAs, earning her First-Team All-American. D'Agostino took home another All-American award after finishign 8th in the 3k indoors. She was also part of the DMR team that finished 3rd at Indoors. During the 2012 outdoor season she made Dartmouth history after winning the NCAA 5k title. She became the first Big Green to take home an individual championship.

At the 2012 Olympic Trials, D'Agostino qualified for the 5k final. In the final race, she finished in 5th position two-tenths of a second away from qualifying for London. At her second NCAA cross country championship appearance, D'Agostino again placed second, although finishing in equal time to Jordan Hasay.

During her career at Darthmouth she set school records in the 1 mile indoor (4:38.44), the 3000m (9:02.15), the DMR (11:05.67) and the 5k (15:19.98)
