Atsede Baysa: Running

 Baysa is a professional distance runner from Ethiopia.

Baysa is a professional road racer from Ethiopia. In 2007, she placed 2nd in the All-Africa Games half marathon. After placing 11th individually at the World Road Running Championships that same year, she helped her team take 2nd place overall. She wrapped up the year with a first place finish at the Istanbul Marathon, finishing in 2:29:05.

In 2009, she won the Paris Marathon in 2:24:42. Then, at the World Championships in Berlin, she finished 27th overall with a time of 2:36:04.

In 2010 she continued her success finishing first in the Xiamen International Marathon, the Paris half marathon and the Paris marathon.  

In 2012, she won the Chicago Marathon in 2:22:03.
