Douglas started her boxing career in 2005. In 2011 she won the National Pal Championship. She is a two-time USA Boxing National Championship silver medalist. In 2012, Douglas participated in the first women's US Olympic boxing trials. She competed in the flyweight division and lost to Marlen Esparza in the championship round. Douglas' brother, Antoine, qualified for the Olympic Team Trials on the men's side. This makes them the first brother-sister duo to qualify for the trials.
